1.1 This competition (“the Competition”) is promoted by TR Commodities (“the Promoter”). By entering the Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1.2 The Competition is a promotional competition as defined in Section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“the CPA”), and is conducted in accordance with the CPA and its Regulations.
2.1 The Competition opens on 12 September and closes on 12 October 2026 (“the Competition Period”).
2.2 Entries received before or after the Competition Period will not be considered.
2.3 The Promoter reserves the right to extend, shorten, or amend the Competition Period at its sole discretion, subject to notification to entrants via the Promoter’s official social media channels.
3.1. To enter the Competition, customers must fill up with a minimum of R150.00 (one hundred and fifty rand) worth of petrol or diesel at Elegant Fuel Mzinti during the Competition Period.
3.2. On filling up, the customer will receive a till slip. The customer must legibly write their full name and telephone number on the slip.
3.3. The completed entry slip must be deposited in the official entry box on-site at Elegant Fuel Mzinti in order for the entry to be valid.
3.4. Entrants may enter as many times as they wish. Each qualifying fill-up of R150.00 or more entitles the customer to one additional entry into the Competition – the more times an entrant fills up with R150.00 or more, the more entries (and chances to be selected as a Finalist) they will receive.
3.5. Entry slips that are illegible, incomplete (missing name and/or telephone number), duplicated, tampered with, or not deposited in the official entry box will be deemed invalid and will not be considered.
4.1. The Competition is open to South African residents who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
4.2. Employees, directors, members, agents, consultants, sponsors and service providers of the Promoter, Elegant Fuel Mzinti, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.
4.3. Entrants must comply with the entry mechanic set out in clause 3 above in order to qualify.
4.4. Incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, or invalid entries will not be considered.
5.1 One (1) winner will receive:
5.2 The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash (save for the cash portion stated above), and cannot be substituted for any other item, save at the sole discretion of the Promoter.
5.3 The value and/or contents of the mystery box prize are determined solely by the Promoter and are final.
5.4 Any tax, levy, or duty (if applicable) arising from the receipt of the prize is the sole responsibility of the winner.
6.1 From all valid entries received during the Competition Period, the Promoter will select ten (10) finalists (“the Finalists”).
6.2 The Finalists will be announced on the Promoter’s official social media platforms on 13 October 2026.
6.3 Each Finalist will also be contacted telephonically by the Promoter, using the contact number provided on their entry slip(s).
6.4 It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure that their name and telephone number are written legibly and accurately on the entry slip. The Promoter accepts no liability where a Finalist cannot be reached due to illegible, incorrect, or missing contact information.
7.1 The final winner will be selected from among the ten (10) Finalists by way of a draw (“the Draw”).
7.2 The Draw will take place on-site at Elegant Fuel Mzinti on 17 October.
7.3 The Draw will be conducted in a fair and verifiable manner, and the Promoter’s decision regarding the outcome of the Draw is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
7.4 The Promoter reserves the right to have the Draw independently witnessed and/or adjudicated.
8.1. The winner will be announced on the Promoter’s official social media platforms and/or contacted telephonically following the Draw.
8.2. The winner may be required to provide proof of identity (South African ID or valid passport) before the prize is awarded.
8.3. Should the winner fail to respond to, or claim, the prize within a reasonable period determined by the Promoter (and communicated at the time), the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner from the remaining Finalists, or to declare the prize forfeited.
8.4 Arrangements for the collection or delivery of the prize will be confirmed directly with the winner by the Promoter.
By entering the Competition, Finalists and the winner consent to the Promoter using their name, image, voice, and/or likeness in any publicity or marketing material relating to the Competition, across any media platform, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
10.1. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to amend, suspend, or terminate the Competition, or these Terms and Conditions, without prior notice, should circumstances arise outside of its control that make this necessary.
10.2. The Promoter’s decisions relating to any aspect of the Competition are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
10.3. The Promoter, its directors, employees, and agents accept no responsibility and will not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or expense of any nature whatsoever that may arise directly or indirectly as a result of entrants’ participation in the Competition, or the acceptance and use of the prize, to the extent permitted by law.
10.4. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who is found to have engaged in fraudulent activity, tampering with the entry process (including submitting multiple entry slips from a single qualifying fill-up), or any other conduct which the Promoter deems contrary to the spirit of the Competition.
10.5. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
11.1 Personal information collected from entrants via their entry slips will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”), and will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Competition, contacting Finalists and the winner, and, where consent is given, for related marketing purposes.
11.2 Entrant information will not be sold or shared with third parties for purposes unrelated to the Competition without the entrant’s consent.
Any queries relating to the Competition or these Terms and Conditions should be directed to TR Commodities via its official communication channels.
By entering this Competition, all entrants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
